Trade Rules

3 things to check before you trade

Steam sets account and item restrictions; SteamVaults shows its pricing and withdrawal costs before confirmation.

Steam can hold a trade for up to 15 days

  • Authenticator active under 7 daysUp to 15-day hold
  • Authenticator active 7+ daysNo authenticator-age hold
  • A held trade is delayedWait for Steam

If your Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator has been active for less than 7 days, Steam may hold outgoing trades for up to 15 days. This is a Valve rule, and SteamVaults cannot shorten or remove it.

A hold delays item delivery. Because a quote is locked for only 30 seconds, use the readiness check and trade after Steam no longer applies an account hold.

Trade costs are disclosed up front

  • Amount shown in the quoteLocked for 30 seconds
  • Starting spreadFrom 2%, variable
  • Separate trade feeNone

The spread is the difference between the Steam reference price and the SteamVaults quote. It starts at 2% and can change with volatility and inventory risk.

The quote is locked for 30 seconds. After the bot confirms receipt, the accepted sale is credited to your site balance as shown. There is no signup or separate trade fee. Polygon USDT withdrawal is a separate request with a fixed 0.80 USDT fee and a 5 USDT minimum, both shown before confirmation.

Steam inventory status decides

  • Marked TradableCan be quoted
  • Shows a Tradable After dateWait until that date
  • Bought in-game or on MarketCheck the shown date

Steam marks each item as tradable or shows the date when it becomes tradable. SteamVaults can quote a supported Mann Co. Supply Crate Key only after Steam marks it tradable.

Items bought in-game or on the Community Market can have game-dependent restrictions. Check the exact Tradable After date on the key in your inventory; SteamVaults cannot remove it.
