Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-08-03
Welcome to SteamVaults ("we", "us", "the service"). By using SteamVaults you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. What SteamVaults does
SteamVaults is an independent third-party service that:
- Buys Mann Co. Supply Crate Keys, the only item currently supported, in exchange for USDT credited to your site balance.
- Sells Steam inventory items from our pool to users in exchange for USDT debited from your site balance.
- Holds your site balance as an internal accounting entry until you initiate an on-chain withdrawal.
- Processes on-chain withdrawals of USDT to wallet addresses you supply on Polygon. Other networks are not currently supported.
We are not affiliated with Valve, Steam, or any game publisher.
2. Eligibility
To use SteamVaults you must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Reside in a jurisdiction where buying, selling, and holding cryptocurrency is legal. Residents of sanctioned jurisdictions (as defined by OFAC, EU, UK, and UN sanctions lists) may not use the service.
- Comply with Steam's Subscriber Agreement and Steam Online Conduct rules at all times. SteamVaults cannot trade on your behalf if your Steam account is restricted by Valve.
- Operate a Steam account that you personally own. Operating an account on someone else's behalf is prohibited.
3. Your obligations as a user
You agree that you will:
- Only sell items that you legitimately own through legal means (drops, unboxes, marketplace purchases, lawful trades).
- Not use the service to launder money, finance illegal activity, evade sanctions, or circumvent any law applicable to you.
- Not initiate chargebacks or payment reversals on transactions that have settled on Steam. Chargebacks on a completed trade are treated as fraud.
- Not abuse, exploit, or attempt to manipulate our pricing, anti-fraud, or anti-bot systems.
- Provide accurate withdrawal addresses. Transactions sent to incorrect or smart-contract addresses you control are non-recoverable.
4. Pricing, spread, and fees
- The reference quote is calculated around 70% of the Steam reference price. The gap between SteamVaults' buy and sell prices (the bid/ask spread) starts at 2% and adjusts for volatility, liquidity, price-source health, and inventory risk. That 2% is not the total discount from the Steam reference price. The exact rate and amount are locked in the quote before you confirm.
- Quoted prices are locked for 30 seconds from the time the quote is generated. After 30 seconds the quote expires and you must request a fresh quote.
- The current user fee is $0.80 per Polygon USDT withdrawal. It is shown before confirmation, deducted from the withdrawal amount, and separate from the bid/ask spread. It is the withdrawal fee charged to you, not a representation of raw Polygon gas at cost.
- We may adjust spreads, supported items, and supported networks at any time. Changes are not retroactive β quotes you have already confirmed are honored.
5. Refunds, cancellations, and disputes
- A trade is final once it is settled on Steam. Steam's trade system is the source of truth for settlement. Once Steam reports the trade as complete, it cannot be reversed by us.
- Before the trade is sent or confirmed, you may cancel the quote at any time.
- If a trade fails on Steam's side (the user did not confirm in the mobile authenticator, items were untradable, the account was trade-banned mid-flow, etc.) the trade is voided automatically and no balance changes.
- If a withdrawal fails before blockchain broadcast, the entire locked amount, including the withdrawal fee, is returned to your balance. If the transaction was already broadcast and later finalized as reverted after consuming network gas, only the intended transfer principal is returned; the withdrawal fee disclosed before confirmation is not refunded.
- For disputed transactions, contact support within 30 days of the trade timestamp. We will review Steam trade logs, blockchain transaction logs, and our internal records to make a determination. Our determination is final unless required law in Singapore provides otherwise.
6. Account suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the service, immediately and without prior notice, if:
- Your Steam account has a VAC ban, trade ban, community ban, or is otherwise restricted by Valve from trading.
- Your withdrawal address is blocked by the configured wallet sanctions screening. This narrow automated check covers sanctions status only; it does not verify identity or source of funds.
- You appear on any sanctions list applicable to us.
- You attempt fraud, market manipulation, or any breach of these Terms.
- You initiate a chargeback after a trade has settled.
If your account is terminated with a positive site balance, you may request withdrawal to an address that is not blocked by the configured sanctions screening.
7. Limitations of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SteamVaults is not liable for:
- Steam outages, trade holds, account restrictions, or any other Valve-side action.
- Blockchain reorganisations, dropped transactions, mempool congestion, gas-fee spikes, or any other blockchain-network event outside our control.
- Polygon network conditions and any separate fees charged by your receiving wallet or exchange. SteamVaults' current $0.80 user withdrawal fee is disclosed before you confirm.
- Price slippage caused by market movements between the time a quote expires and the time a new quote is requested.
- Losses caused by you providing an incorrect wallet address, using an unsupported network, or losing access to your own wallet, recovery phrase, or Steam authenticator.
- Losses caused by phishing sites that imitate SteamVaults β always check the URL.
Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is capped at the sum of fees you paid to us in the 90 days preceding the claim, or USD 100, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under the law of Singapore.
8. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be referred to arbitration in Singapore under the rules of the applicable arbitration body in that jurisdiction. You agree that disputes will be resolved on an individual basis β no class arbitrations and no representative actions.
This clause does not deprive you of any mandatory consumer protections available in your country of residence.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app and on this page at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
