Trade Hold

Definition

A Trade Hold is a Steam delay after a trade is accepted. If the account sending items has not been protected by Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator for at least 7 days, Steam may hold those items for up to 15 days. SteamVaults keeps a held offer pending and does not credit the site balance until Steam reports it accepted and the bot confirms receipt.

What a hold means

A trade hold delays delivery after a trade has been accepted. Steam says items leaving an account that has not been protected by Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator for at least 7 days may be held for up to 15 days. Existing holds are not shortened by adding an authenticator later.

Check the status

Review the warning shown by Steam and the expected hold date shown in the SteamVaults trade status. Other account or item restrictions can also delay or prevent a trade.

SteamVaults behavior

SteamVaults records an escrowed offer as pending and continues checking its Steam state. Nothing is credited while Steam still controls the item. Site-balance settlement occurs only after Steam reports the offer as Accepted and the bot confirms receipt of the supported Sack of Gems.

Ready to trade without the confusion?

SteamVaults currently supports Sack of Gems only. Check the quote, accept the Steam trade offer, and settle in USDT.
