Marketable
Definition
A marketable Steam item can be listed on the Steam Community Market for Steam Wallet credit. Marketability is independent of tradability — some items are tradable but not marketable, and vice versa.
Marketable vs Tradable
These two flags are independent:
- Marketable, Tradable → Both Community Market and trade offers work. Most CS2/TF2 items.
- Marketable, Not Tradable → Sell to Market only. Rare.
- Not Marketable, Tradable → Trade only. Most gift-promotional items.
- Neither → Untradeable promo items.
How to check
Open the item in your inventory — the Market 'Sell' button appears only on marketable items. The trade-offer 'Send' button appears only on tradable items.
